Visit the Youth Outreach (協青社), 2008-09-27 (Sat)

The HKSAH will have our annual social activity held on 27th September (Saturday) this year. The itinerary includes a site visit to the Youth Outreach (協青社) which is located in Sai Wan Ho. Youth Outreach was established in 1991 as a crisis intervention center for youth. It has different outreach programmes for youth and hostel for youth in crisis. The famous “Hang Out” (蒲吧) is one of the successful models and a popular place for young people to hang around.

The visit will be toured by a clinical psychologist who would introduce the service, facilities provided by Youth Outreach as well as the psychological counseling service available in the center. There will be an informal meeting with the youth workers and clinical psychologist following the tour for people to exchange experiences on how to work with youth. A simple but pleasant afternoon tea will be provided to members as part of the Society’s social gathering. The visit is exclusively arranged for members only and it is totally free of charge. As the quota is limited to 40, for those who are interested to join us in this special activity, please return the reply slip for reservation before 20th Sept 2008. First come, first serve.
